welp... I logged in... can't use any of my gear (it doesn't apply any stats, I can't click any of it, all says I need a gold membership to use? Nah... not happening).
I guess you get what you pay for 
Edit: Just noticed i'm 1 post away from 3000 posts... but the real reason for the edit is DAMN I missed that theme song!!! I didn't know I missed it, but hearing it really brought back memories

Enyil, I think the reason you can't use most of your gear is the augments. Lots of augments are considered 'Premier' items now. I mostly have basic augments, so most of my gear is still usable, but I had 1 piece that isn't. After removing the augment, it is usable again.

Oh, for those who haven't logged in for a long time, make sure you do /claim and /veteranreward to get any veteran's rewards you might have coming. I think there's a fair amount of stuff for people with older accounts.

Finally got in. Had to move my eq install to another folder and run the patcher from the website. Was an interesting experience. Can't see the stats on any of my gear and got a pop-up inviting me to upgrade to a Gold membership about every 15 minutes or so. ***sigh***

yeah... the mouseover event doesn't seem to be firing on items.... I have to either control click or alt click (i forgot already) to see the stats...
I don't think i'd care about any of the limitations, except that I don't know anyone still playing, so I can't even log in to simply chat.
One thing that brought back some more memories was going to explore Qeynos. I still remember my way around after not logging in for 7 years.. It's crazy how that works!
